Tomato Appalam is as flavorful as it sounds and stands out from the rest of the classic Appalams. Made using urad dal flour, sun-dried tomato puree, and mild spices, it has a naturally tangy taste that makes it stand out. The dough is prepared, rolled into thin discs, and then dried under the sun to lock in flavour and crunch to perfection. Each bite carries that little pinch of tomato which would make your meal more flavorful and yummy. Tomato Appalams pairs well with simple meals like lemon rice, tomato rice, or even plain dal and rice. It also goes perfectly with curd rice or rasam rice. The tangy flavor adds a nice balance to these rich dishes. You can even make a quick snack with it. Just top Tomato Appalams with chopped onions, coriander, and a pinch of chaat masala. You'll create yet another fun variety of Masala Papad!
